Paintings and digital drawings can coexist, just like how another world or point of view coexists adjacent to our current universe, contrary to what most people believe. Fantasy isn’t exactly nonexistent, and artists can blur the lines between the two worlds. As I am compelled by my emotions and imagination, the ‘world’ I bring into perspective often reflects exactly how I’m feeling at the moment. This manifests in my art; bright colours, and things which don’t appear to be realistic, or somehow just in between reality and unreality. Movements that I look to are Pop Art and Abstract Expressionism—the latter of which is more often seen in my paintings rather than digital works.
